T&TI CARGO LINE has always believed in the GREEN project permanently paying attention to the management of the vehicle fleet, which to date boasts 50 LNG trucks.
In addition to that, since 2022, the company has received the UNI EN ISO 14001 (Environmental Certification) and UNI EN ISO 14067 (Carbon Footprint Certification), implementing the path towards an increasingly sustainable road transport mobility, and striving for a continuous renewal of the zero-emission structure.
LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) refers to a natural gas (or bio-methane) that is refrigerated and stored in a liquid state at a temperature of -120°C and 10 bar pressure; this process reduces the gas volume by 600 times, making storage more compact than CNG. All LNG vehicles are an economically viable alternative to vehicles powered by oil and its derivatives. Their main features are the following:
To fully harness the features of LNG vehicles, the trucks are currently used for carrying out medium-to long-haul activities (hub-to-hub deliveries and domestic transport) with a minimum mileage of 600 km each way per day.
From April 2024 T.&T.I. Cargo Line is fueling its fleet of Euro 5 and Euro 6 vehicles with Enilive HVOlution biofuel, thanks to a commercial agreement signed with the Multicard business.
HVO (hydrogenated vegetable oil) is a biofuel produced exclusively from biogenic raw materials, mainly waste and residues, such as used food oils or vegetable oil processing waste, but also from oils generated from crops on non-competing land with the food supply chain supplied through a network of agri-hubs that Eni is developing in various African countries.
HVOlution can be used pure on diesel engines and the vehicles are refueled at the Enilve network plants (over a thousand in Italy), and allows to reduce CO2 emissions by 60% to 90% compared to fossil diesel (according to the Energy Directive renewables).
In pursuit of its Green Project, T&TI CARGO LINE constantly upgrades its vehicular structure with continuous attention to the electric market for dedicated services in urban areas and transport with a maximum travel distance of 500 km.
