DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a person between 30/40 years old, serious, extroverted and who has at least 3/4 years of experience in the Road Operations Department, use of the tractor-trailer. We are looking for a transporter and not a logistics/ administrative employee.
The heart of our business is TRANSPORT, specifically we deal with primary traction and day and night express line services for the most important national and international competitors; OUR clients are San Carlo, Gls, Dhl, Whirlpool, Ceva, etC.
We can divide the world of transport into 3 groups
LOGISTICS = loading, unloading of goods and sorting of goods
TRANSPORT = once the vehicle is loaded it is transported to the reference hub, it goes from point A to point B, the transport takes place with heavy tractor vehicles with attached SR (area within our competence).
LAST MILE = collection of the material delivered by the transporter at point 2 and delivery of the goods to the users via vans.
The candidate will be responsible for:
- Daily planning of national and international full truck and linehaul trips
- Planning of vehicle flow considering customer requests, availability of vehicles and traveling personnel
- Constantly analyze, through management tools, the availability of resources in terms of vehicles and traveling personnel
- Constantly analyze customer requests through the management tools available and the constant relationship with internal and external interlocutors
- Constant monitoring of road vehicles through satellite systems
- Interface with the competent offices in resolving any travel problems
- Build and maintain a direct relationship with direct and indirect traveling staff.
- Maintain the agreements made with the customer
- Improve the efficiency of travel in economic and/or timely terms
- Unexpected management of daily trip construction
- Report to the operational management and general management about any structural problems in the execution of the trips or any agreements made with the customer that are disregarded by the same or any inconveniences with the traveling staff.
- Monthly participation in the Operations Management meeting.
- Management of driver's driving and rest hours
Required skills:
- At least 3 years' experience in the role of traffic planner/operator
- Knowledge of driving and rest hours for traveling personnel
- Knowledge and interest in the national and international FULL TRUCK AND LINEHAUL transport sector.
- In-depth knowledge of national geography
- Good knowledge of Excel, Office and the main management software
